VoiParrot Troubleshooting FAQ


Question:  

                          1.  VoiParrot will not successfully install or run.

Answers:          

A. Check to see if your Anti-Virus/Firewall protection is blocking VoiParrot.

B. Make sure you are installing VoiParrot on a supported operating systems (XP, Vista, Win7, Win8, Win10).

C. Make sure you are installing on a computer system that meets the minimum requirements (Pentium with 10 MB of disk space. Refer To Typical Configuration).

D. Make sure you have not run out of disk space.

E. Check your hard drive for errors.

F. Uninstall VoiParrot and try re-installing one more time.

G. Obtain another copy of VoiParrot and try installing the new copy.

H. Disable anti-virus/firewall protection and if they are the cause of the problem research that environment for VoiParrot exclusion.

I. Only one VoiParrot can be running within a LAN (A LAN is everything that is connected to a single router).

J.  If your using a wireless connection between the computer and the router then add an additional wired connection to the router.

K. Try adding the VOIP adapter’s MAC address to Preferences→ManualRecording.


Question:

                          2.  Phone conversations do not record.

Answers:

A. If you have more than one NIC (Network Interface Card) indicated when you run VoiParrot try using other NIC’s and make a test phone call until you’ve exhausted all Ethernet cards.  If VoiParrot is scheduled to startup during boot then make sure your NIC is listed under VOIP INTERFACES as some network adapters are slow to init during power up (Please refer to Preferences→”Delayed Interface Check”).

B. If you are not using a softphone make sure your VOIP adapter and computer are tied into the same Router/Switch.

C. If your Ethernet cable from your computer is going to your VOIP adapter then please unplug it and plug it into your router.

D. Make sure you have free disk space.

E. Disable antivirus/firewall protection and if they are the cause of the problem research that environment for VoiParrot exclusion.

Question:

                          3.  Recorded conversations will not play back

Answers:

A. Make sure your speaker volume is set high enough to be heard.

B. Check your sound system by going to the “Control Panel → Sounds and Audio Devices” then to the Sounds Tab and try playin back one of the Program Events.


Question:

                          4.  Listen-in feature not working

Answers:

A. If you’re trying to listen-in to a conversation you must either right-click the recording entry and select Listen from the menu or make sure the number is highlighted in the listen-in dropdown and then you can select the checkbox.

B. Make sure the speaker volume is set properly so it can be heard.

C. Make sure your sound hardware is working properly by performing “3B” above.
