A wired connection from the computer to the router is almost always a configuration that will work for adapter based VOIP but wireless connections to the router tend to be a problem. If you have a wireless configuration and you are having problems running VoiParrot please try adding your VOIP adapters MAC address to VoiParrot’s Manual Recording mode. If your still having problems running within a wireless network then try adding an additional wired connection to the router. A wireless connection between the computer and the router is not a problem when using a SoftPhone.
Configuration When VOIP Adapter Is Connected To Computer
An alternate way of using your VOIP adapter is to connect it directly to an Ethernet port of the computer. This method would be used if your having a problem running VoiParrot with the previous router configuration (Especially if your using a wireless connections between the computer and the router).
If you use a SoftPhone (such as MagicJack) then the following diagram represents a typical configuration:

Both types of VOIP (Adapter and SoftPhone based) can be used with VoiParrot at the same time (Up to 10 VOIP phones can be active at the same time depending on the capability of your computer).
